Faith Friends for Young Adults
We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. to discuss faith, form relationships and create a time of fellowship amidst a hectic culture. Child care is provided. Welcome!
LOVE INC - Love In The Name of Christ
Love INC of Mecklenburg County has a wonderful opportunity for Oak Grove to be the hands and feet of Christ
to an older adult couple in your community! Assistance includes visitation, periodic meals, house cleaning,
telephone visitation and more. For more information on this opportunity look for the Love INC write-up in the News section.

At Oak Grove, we offer a whole family of ministries designed to meet the needs of every member
of your family. From Sunday School and Angel Food Ministries to activities and programs for kids
and adults, Oak Grove offers a well-rounded approach to helping your family draw closer to God and
to each other. The ministries at Oak Grove place a strong emphasis on equipping and empowering
people to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ in every area of their lives. This approach
is carried out through multiple ministries, groups and outreach projects.
Angel Food Ministries
In Jan. 2004, Oak Grove began supporting the mission of a unique, nonprofit organization called Angel Food Ministries.
Headquartered in Monroe, Georgia, Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to
providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States. Angel Food works through churches and community
organizations in more than 20 states.
To see the Angel Food Ministries menu for the current month, visit their Web site at www.angelfoodministries.org.
On Monday evenings at 5 p.m. our Crafts and Scrapbooking Etc. gets together. This group is led by Mary Ann Safrit. A wide range of crafts
are created and sold along with baked good. All proceeds go to support missions.
Each year our UMW group hosts a Festival of Tables and raises $800-$1000 to support our missions. This event entails decorating
a table around a particular theme and each hostess providing dinner for their particular table. The 2005
Festival of Tables was held on April 16. The fellowship hall was transformed with fourteen tables - all decorated with a
different theme, lots of great food and, best of all, a GREAT time to relax, eat and enjoy fellowship. All proceeds went toward missions.
